ABSTRACT

Teamwork is getting more and more popular in school. It has many advantages that are suitable for the new requirements of the schools of the 21st century and the pandemic situation caused by COVID-19. One of the main challenges of teamwork is the assessment of each individual student. It is not a good practice to assign one and the same mark to all students in the team since their contributions to the work are usually not equal. Therefore, a method for assessing the individual contribution of the students in teamwork should be developed. Such a method is discussed in the paper. © 2022 IEEE.

ABSTRACT

Last year everything was changed, education was no exception. The exercises in the discipline "Mobile Cellular Networks" needed to be done online due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This provoked the lecturer to use software to give students the opportunity to do exercises alone. MATLAB was chosen for a software program. The paper presents the features of the software products used in the transition to online training in the discipline "Mobile Cellular Networks", one of the topics covered in the course, and the opinion of the students about the teaching methodologies applied in the educational process.

ABSTRACT

Lecturers face new challenges of how to present their disciplines in the COVID-19 pandemic. Online education is not so easy when students are future engineers, because they cannot use real equipment like during in-person classes. The paper presents the application of project-based learning on the topic "Binary Multipliers" implemented with different computer-based tools, such as MS Excel (electronic spreadsheets), Logisim, ISE Project Navigator, LearningApps, etc. as a way of presenting this topic to the students making the classes more attractive using active learning methods. © 2021 Association for Computing Machinery.
